2003 Race Reports

World famous FIA GT Championship for Paragon.

For 2003 Paragon decided to move into the relms of Europe competing in the Paragon backed Team Eurotech 911 GT3RS. Two cars were to run in the series, the Paragon backed car driven by Mark Sumpter and Mike Jordan and a similar car driven by twins David and Godfrey Jones.

Racing at some of the most famous iconic European circuits, the FIA GT Championship proved to be a challenge for the team, racing against some factory teams with unlimted budgets. The season had some ups and downs with some very minor mechanical gremlins to gearbox failure at Enna Pergusa. 

At  the home track Donnington Park, a fantastic qualifing session placed the car seventh on the grid but during the race the car was hit from behind by a Saleen and suspension failure resulted in the team retiring the car.

The highlight of this truly exciting championship was in the season finale at Monza with the Paragon 911 finishing in third place  giving the whole team a good reason to celebrate the finish of a memorable seasons racing.
